Here’s your delicious A-list of Georgina Goodman shoes. Georgina Goodman has established herself as a highly successful shoe designer who is really making an impact in the fashion world in just a few years. Manolo Blahnik has called her the “future of footwear”.

It wasn’t until she hit her mid-thirties that Georgina Goodman realised she wanted to be a shoe designer. Bravely leaving her job in magazines, she studied shoe design to Masters Level, opening her flagship store just a year later in 2002.

Ever with her finger on the fashion pulse, this season’s offer is a fabulous mix of zany colour and exciting design. Geometric leather patterns feature across violet suede while grey leather with pearl-effect finish looks fresh on riding boots. A Georgina Goodman shoe isn’t just a prudent fashion purchase; it’s also a prudent investment.

Georgina Goodman shoes

Georgina Goodman shoes used to come from wanting to shock, wanting to be shocking, people to look at. This whole focus of “if they look at me, then I’ll feel great about myself”.

  • Georgina Goodman biography. Whilst working for influential magazines such as i-D and Elle, Georgina Goodman realised that what she really wanted to do was create. With this in mind, she enrolled on the BA Course at Cordwainer’s College, London, followed by an MA in Womenswear/Footwear in 2001 at the Royal College of Art, London. She then opened her first showcase store in the heart of Mayfair in December 2002. Her perceptual clarity and the understated luxury offered through her initial Couture collection won the hearts of her discerning clients and the acclaim of the fashion media. In 2003, a Ready to Wear seasonal shoe collection was initiated, manufactured in both Spain and Italy and expressing her consistent signature style while staying true to the heart of her design ethos. Her brand portfolio now includes couture and RTW women’s shoes, bags and other accessories, home-ware and her collection of men’s bespoke.
  • Passion, energy and vision. To create directional contemporary work has been successful in establishing important partnerships with the most influential retailers and publications worldwide. Moreover, she continues to expand her retail business with her multi award winning website, including an on-line store and her new Flagship store at 44 Old Bond Street. Georgina Goodman also acts as a consultant to major fashion houses helping to shape their collections with her influential style, she works in collaboration with designers she admires and she is twice nominated Accessory Designer of the Year by the British Fashion Council. Georgina Goodman’s philosophy has always been straightforward; Be Consistent, Be Clear, Be Who We Really Are and most importantly; Be In Love. This philosophy is expressed in everything Georgina Goodman, even down to placing the words ‘Made in Love’ on the sole of every shoe.
  • All is one principal. This principle removes the illusion of separation. The illusion says that up is separate from down, right separate from wrong, male separate from female, joy separate from sadness. All is one means one pattern, considering each piece of design as a whole. It means unwrapping three dimensions and rendering it flat into two dimensions, so one piece. The principle has directed Georgina Goodman actions. By staying true to the principal, a process has evolved to express in form the concept. The parameters she has chosen to set only allow her to focus on the object I am creating right here, right now. This implicitly means that the object, be it a shoe or a bag is unique and personal, truly special. And this uniqueness gives it its value. The resulting sculpture is made from one for one. And so the principal and the process of Georgina Goodman design achieve her goal, allowing her to stay true to the feeling behind the thought.

Where Can I Buy Georgina Goodman shoes

Georgina Goodman opened on Old Bond Street in April 2008. The move from Shepherd Street store in Mayfair signifies the brands development and success over recent years. The store encompasses a newly branded and packaged Georgina Goodman with a slick new style featuring the signature hand painted stripes. The stripes are also reflected on the flag and are hand painted on the interior walls. The bijous environment draws on the urban style of Georgina Goodman and is combined with comfortable surroundings and added lustre for an intimate shopping experience. Naturally, the space will showcase the seasonal collections.

Award winning architects Wells Mackereth have transformed the grade II listed building. The store reflects Old Bond Street’s traditional values combined with Georgina Goodman’s own elegant and modern vision. Focus within the store is on light and reflection, combined with a subtlety of colours including French grey and pale gold for a clean finish. Features include a dramatic suspended drop ceiling over the centre of the store in gold and bronze mirrored glass, and hangs over a sumptuous gold banquette. High heels, sandals and boots are elegantly displayed on lateral shelving units designed uniquely for the store and have a retro quality that compliments the vintage sixties Italian light sculpture featured on the back wall and the fumed oak parquet floor. Georgina Goodman says: “This store marks a coming of age for my brand and brings new blood to old bond street”.
