macys logo Macys shoes

Here’s your delicious A-list of Macy’s shoes. Macy’s is a chain of mid-to-high range American department stores and offers vast variety of boots, sandals, pumps, flats, sneakers, flip flops, slippers and waterproof shoes.

Macy’s is more that a century’s old brand that continues to rumble the streets with its intense touch and lingering memories to its faithful customers. It brings back memories to the old-timers and provides remarkable items for the young.

The company produces the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, a well known parade which has been held on the streets of New York City annually since 1924. The company also sponsors the city’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display, which began in 1976.

Macy’s shoes

Living life itself is what Macy’s all about. From your daily routine of work, Macy’s provide for the go-getter look for your work facets to your leisure hour.

  • History of Macy’s. It was founded in 1858 by Rowland Hussey Macy. On the company’s first day of business on October 28, 1858 sales totaled $11.06 (Approximately $287.37 in 2007 USD). Macy had established a dry goods store in downtown Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1851 that initially served the mill industry employees of the area. Macy moved to New York City and established a new store named “R. H. Macy & Company” on the corner of 14th Street and 6th Avenue, later expanding to 18th Street and Broadway, on the “Ladies’ Mile”, the 19th century elite shopping district, where it remained for nearly forty years. From the very beginning, Macy’s logo has always included a star in one form or another, which comes from a tattoo that Mr. Macy got as a teenager when he worked on a Nantucket whaling ship.
  • Old is definitely gold. The brand may be standing at 150 years of success but over time the company has built a strong reputation for its items. There are a wide range of choices to pick from and one can sense how experienced the company is in this field of retail. Providing nothing but the best quality for its customers are some of the key essentials that brings the success of Macy’s to this day. Indeed the fashion arena does buy back some flashbacks of the fashion in different eras, for example we are certainly looking back at the 60s where baby doll looks are making a comeback for. We should be proud of our ancestors for bringing such rich culture to the world of fashion and also a world much more comfortable to live in. Macy’s provide for the best in terms of clothing design and apparels, there is no wonder Macy still stay as formidable as it is today.
  • Walk above the rest. Each contour of Macy’s store private brand is developed to appeal to a certain customer lifestyle that also creates a precise and defined outlook. With your head held high, you can flaunt the wondrous selection of Macy’s shoes without holding back as its high fashion sense will definitely be a show stopper for all walks of life. Its undisputed contribution to the fashion world has sent a red alert to its competitors such as Aeropostale, A.J. Wright, Ann Taylor, Ann Taylor LOFT, Banana Republic, Barneys New York, Belk, Bloomingdale’s, Bon-Ton, Dillard’s, Elder-Beerman, Filene’s Basement, Galeries Lafayette, Gap, Harrods, JCPenney, Kohl’s, Lord and Taylor, Marshalls, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Old Navy and Piperlime.
